Essential Steel Framing
Construction

Our essential steel framing products include practical tools and machines to streamline construction. From impact drivers, screw guns, circular saws, nibblers, and snips to advanced plasma cutting systems, each tool ensures precision and efficiency. Accurate measuring tools are vital for every project, while a light gauge framing machine automates the process for faster, consistent results.

89mm Profile

The 89mm profile is our standard solution for residential wall framing, designed to seamlessly replace traditional 90mm timber framing. Precision-engineered for straightness and accuracy, this profile eliminates issues like warping and twisting, making it ideal for both internal and external walls. It ensures a perfectly flat finish for linings and is compatible with standard insulation and building products.

40mm Top Hat Purlin

A 40mm top hat purlin is a versatile steel component used in construction as a replacement for timber for supporting roof and wall sheeting, and in other structural applications like floor joists and carports. Its primary function is to provide a stable, durable, and rot-free structural element that supports lightweight roofing and walling materials, such as corrugated or metal profiles.

Key uses:

Roof purlins and battens: Used to support metal roof sheeting or tiles on both steel and timber-framed roofs.

Wall girts: Acts as a horizontal support for steel walling or cladding.

Floor joists: Used in some applications for floor framing.

Other applications: Can be used for carports, fencing, and racking systems.

Residential and commercial buildings: Suitable for a wide range of projects, including residential homes, steel-framed buildings, and carports.

Advantages:

Durability: As a steel product, it is rot-free, fire-resistant, and dimensionally stable, meaning it will not warp or twist like timber.

Ease of use: Often features a knurled anti-slip surface and rolled safety edges, making it easier and safer to handle on-site.

Compatibility: Can be fitted to both steel and timber framing.

Cost-effective: Provides a cost-effective alternative to timber battens.

150mm

The 150mm light gauge steel (LGS) profile is a versatile and durable construction material commonly used for framing walls, floors, and roofs in modern building projects. These profiles, which measure 150mm in web width, are precision-engineered from high-tensile, galvanised steel, making them a popular and reliable alternative to traditional timber.
